FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No two creative projects are the same. Therefore, I try to stay as flexible as possible to meet the needs of my clients. I typically approach the compensation question with three possible avenues that we can take: 1.) Discuss your budget + your project needs — together we can devise a plan for how I can help meet those project needs within your budget. 2.) Discuss your project needs — then I will propose a plan and estimated cost for how to meet your project needs. 3.) Sometimes my clients, or their specific project needs, simply prefer to go the hourly rate direction.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Where my client is in the creative process can vary greatly but in general when I work with new clients I make sure to gather enough information for me to be able to deliver the following steps from beginning to end of any project. 1. Consultation 2. Contract / Creative Brief - defining the project scope, timeline and budget 3. Reviewing Concepts / Artwork 4. Client Feedback 5. Revisions to Concepts / Artwork 6. Repeat 3, 4, 5 as needed. 7. Client approval 8. Deploying or Releasing final artwork
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Northern Kentucky University. But, I consider years on the job as training as well. I'm a seasoned designer working 17+ years in various award winning agencies, in-house design teams and now as a freelancer. My experience allows me to quickly learn and digest a lot of information about a business, brand or project to allow me to hit the ground running by turning around strong creative design solutions that are on equity and / or meeting unique business challenges.
