What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically discuss the project with our clients over the phone prior to setting up a visit at their home. During the initial phone conversation, if needed, we will setup an appointment to have one of our designers meet with the client at their home to provide an estimate on the work needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are ICPI certified in the installation of concrete paver patios and have over 20 years of experience with landscape plant material and installation services. We have bachelors degrees in business administration, marketing, soil agronomy and horticulture.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Our family has owned a local garden center and landscaping company for over 20 years servicing Northern Virginia.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Residential, Commercial and Government.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We provided landscape service for the Marine Corps Museum in Triangle Virginia.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
All service professionals should have a valid contractors license and have relevant certifications in their field of work; real world experience cannot be taught, it needs to be experienced first hand through a variety of projects over a course of many years; it's important that any professional hired has a long list of credible references and projects that can be provided to the client for review.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Having a clear sense of what is needed is important in assessing each project. Budget is also something important to consider.
