FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I introduce myself to the customer and begin to get a feel for the project they would like to have done. I enjoy maintaining a friendly and light atmosphere when I'm working with someone. I'll run through rough ideas, then at a separate time I'll create thumbnail sketches and mock-ups.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been drawing since the age of five, however I have taken drawing, design, photography, and typography classes throughout high school and at MSU. A list of some of these classes include: Color and Design Creative Design: Form and Content Drawing I Graphic Design I: Graphic Form Painting I Graphics and Illustration Typography I & II Photography I Design Thinking Graphic Design II: Visual Communication
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The horse farm that I was riding at when I was 14 started asking me for acrylic portraits of their horses for stall signs. Then, that lead to me painting two life size models of the horse's body and skeletal confirmations. Digital paintings and graphite drawings also became popular among family and friends.
