- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a 25 percent discount to nonprofit organizations. I assess a 10 percent charge to any work for which I might subcontract (e.g. graphic design, technical website design, video production).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When engaging with a new customer, I want to get to know the customer and their business. I like to spend enough time with them, either in person or on the phone, discussing their background, which provides context and informs the work that I will be doing. It is important then to discuss the details of the project and ensuring that the customer knows what to expect from me and what I know to expect from the customer. This includes deadlines, response times and the number of changes/edits to the work I do.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and spent seven years as a newspaper reporter and editor. Since 1999, I have worked in public relations and am a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Pennsylvania Public Relations Society.
