- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Portrait sessions are $75 for the first hour, $25 each hour after the first. First Responders/Vets do not pay sitting fees as our "thank you" for your service. Print packages start at $25 for portrait sessions. Ask us about our VIP & Referral Programs. Weddings start at $800 depending on your needs. Ask us about our Photobooth Rentals!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We pride ourselves in offering a unique, collaborative artistic experience for you, our client! We want you to be a part of the creative process so that your photos reflect you! We do this by taking time to learn about you and what you want with a free Discovery Session. What's a Discovery Session? We here at Dashing Images Studio strive to provide you with the best experience we can possibly provide you and your family. We work to create unique photos for you and your loved ones to cherish that genuinely reflect your personality. To do this, we need to learn about you! We need to know what it is that you’re looking for. What feeling are you trying to capture? What is important to you? What can we do to set your pictures apart and make you cherish these images? What do you like and dislike? Are there certain poses that you know you would like to see? What’s your style? How do you plan to display your photos? Are these a gift? Is there a special occasion or moment your looking to capture? This also gives the photographer a chance to dialogue some ideas with you based on what you tell them. The photographer will also leave this meeting and brainstorm some ideas and will likely contact you via phone or email and review more ideas should they feel the need to. We go above and beyond to make sure that we are prepared as best as possible for your shoot. We like to sit down with clients to get to know these things. We understand that this can sometimes be difficult. We try to be flexible, and can meet in a time/place that is convenient for you. If meeting up in person is not possible due to scheduling, the photographer may schedule a phone or internet session with you for your discover session. During this session the photographer will review sitting fees and packages with you, and will schedule your shoot with you. If you are not ready to schedule the shoot, they will make plans to contact you at a later date to schedule. Review Session: After your shoot the photographer will take some time to do the review and editing of your images. This typically takes 1-2 weeks, depending on the volume level of post editing work to be done. The Photographer will give you an idea at the end of your session as to about how long the editing will take. After the editing is done, the Photographer will schedule a Review Session with you. During this session you will get to see your finished images. The photographer will review with you the various editing they made to your images, ensure your satisfaction, and take requests for special edits should there be any. At the end of this session, the photographer will discuss with you the package and ordering options, and if you are ready to place your order, you can do so at that time. Orders typically take one business week to turn around, except during high volume times such as near Christmas. This should be considered if ordering for a gift or Christmas Cards. The Photographer will also discuss with you the Studio’s use(s) of your images. They will ask permission to use your photos on their website/social media and marketing materials. Understand that the Studio owns copyrights and reserves the right to use any finished image in their portfolio for potential clients to view. Wrap Up Session: When your order is in and complete your photographer will schedule a time for you to pick up or to deliver your photos. Our Studio prefers to hand deliver your work to you to ensure its completeness and your satisfaction with your order. We pride ourselves in delivering only the best quality to you. On occasion the photographer will not be satisfied with something in your order and may order reprints at no cost to you. They will inform you of this delay and let you know when your completed order can be expected. If you wish to meet to get your partial order, let your photographer know that you would like to have the portion of your order that is complete. During your wrap up session your photographer will supply you with referral cards so that you may participate in our referral discount program. They may also ask you to go to their social media and/or website and review their work.
