I had the privilege of learning from April how to compose a picture and what elements to look for while taking a picture especially in natural light. I also saw her at work photographing children at a school in Africa, her natural love for children exudes as they are so drawn to her with smiles and ready to play with her which make taking the photos that much easier capturing the genuine beauty of the children. She took photos at our wedding and every picture captures the moment so beautifully that you can tell a story behind each picture. When she takes a photo, she doesn't just take it to have a picture, she patiently waits for the perfect moment and then somehow captures it perfectly, whether it's with people or landscape. She has a natural gift of making people feel at ease especially children and you can see it through her photos of children at play.

Out little girl loves April. She is usually shy, but April was able to make her feel comfortable and happy for the camera. April's photographs captured beautiful moments and expressions unique to our child. Her photographs have an authenticity and raw beauty that you cannot find among the bigger photo shops.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Session prices vary based on the type of photography, length and location of the photoshoot. My sessions are all inclusive and include the following: -High resolution images with print rights -Edited color corrected images on a flash drive or CD and available for download via online gallery -Phone or email consultation -Custom session location -Up to 1.5 hours of time -Online gallery of images to share with family and friends -Sneak peek on Facebook, Instagram or by email
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A complimentary phone or email consultation is included in my portrait package. I like to take the time to get to know new customers and find out what is important to them so that their experience is everything they hope for and their photographs perfectly capture their memories.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have traveled all over the world taking photographs, led photography camps and had my work featured in galleries and advertisements. In addition to being a photographer, I am an educator with a Birth-6th grade teaching license and 5 years experience teaching preschool and kindergarten. This experience with children gives me the unique talent of being able to more easily engage children in family photography sessions.
