- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Your first visit will provide you with the opportunity to talk confidentially with a counselor about your immediate concerns. This visit will also include ensuring all the required paperwork is completed so please arrive 15 minutes early for your initial visit. Your counselor will explain the therapeutic process, confidentiality parameters, fee schedules, and review all required forms. Together you and your counselor will set initial goals and expectations for your therapy experience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The education and training I possess are as follows: *Masters of Arts in Counseling, Oakland University *Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School *Bachleor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Criminology, Minor: Spanish Professional Affiliations: Nationally Certified Counselor, State Bar of Michigan,Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Honor Society, American Counseling Association (ACA), Postpartum Support International - Certificate of Completion Course, and Certified PREPARE/ENRICH Couple's Therapy
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My inspiration for starting Brugmansia Counseling is because I sincerely desire to help clients flourish even through life’s darkest moments similar to how a Brugmansia flower blooms and becomes most fragrant at night.
