Chris Hintz and Kona Flooring Solutions is simply the best contractor I have ever dealt with. I got three estimates to sand and refinish the hardwood floors in a rental condo my wife and I own. Chris was $1,000 below the next lowest estimate! Not sure if "you get what you pay for" was correct, I decided to go with Chris after I met him and saw first-hand his professional demeanor and superior knowledge of old floors (original floors of a 1918 building). Time was critical since I was doing a renovation of the entire condo and had renters scheduled to occupy the place at the end of the month. Chris and his team arrived right on time and finished the project precisely on schedule. Also, the unit was "spic and span" clean when he left! In addition to redoing the HW floors, Chris also provided me with additional pointers regards the renovation, as well as flooring issues I have with my primary residence (circa 1901). It was as if he couldn't do enough to make me and my wife happy! Since the floors have been done, many of the follow-up contractors working the renovation (electrician, plumber, cabinet installers) have all said "Wow", these floors are beautiful", and indeed, they truly are! We are 1,000% pleased with them. Chris is a total professional. His pricing is superb, his demeanor is great and the quality of his work is superior. Thanks so much Chris for making this part of the condo renovation so easy for me and my wife!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do have a standard pricing system it is based off of a by square foot price, our prices are lower than any major retailer installation price however we offer the same warranty on our services.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I use to work for my father doing bathroom remolding when i was in school, I went to college and received my bachelors degree to become a teacher. Upon graduating the job market was over saturated in my field so I went back to what I know best.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with all types of customers from business owners to home owners, we work for people who range from a customer who does not know what they exactly want, to professional interior designers, and retired floor master craftsmen personal homes.
