With 20 years of Corporate Recruiting experience coupled with a Career Counseling background and a heart to help others achieve their professional and personal goals I started Coach Your Career. My unique approach to my client challenges offers an insider prospective of how an employer would perceive you. Whether you are changing careers, just graduated and entering the job market, transitioning from active duty or just trying to further your current status within an established organization, my services are designed to help you! I would strongly recommend Scott Albert as a Career Coach because he is an expert in career development, and has a true desire to help people succeed in whatever stage they are in their career. My son, who was s a recent college graduate and I, interviewed other career coaches before speaking with Scott. After we did, I felt very comfortable with his level of expertise and exposure in the industry and liked the way Scott immediately engaged my son in the initial conversation. Upon hiring Scott, we discussed a general progression plan and he was honest about the expectations indicating that additional sessions may be necessary depending on the pace and progress made. We agreed we would evaluate this once the initial eight sessions were completed. After our conversation, I felt relieved and glad that my son would be under Scott’s mentoring and guidance. Through their sessions, Scott learned more about my son and helped him re-write a more engaging resume using his school experience along with developing a professional LinkedIn profile. Scott also provided relevant career development assignments and held my son accountable to complete them in a timely fashion. Just prior to the last session, my son had an interview for a position that was in his field – media production. I am confident that his newly revised, well-written resume opened the door to this interview. The position was a great opportunity and having Scott guide my son through the interview process, was wonderful. Scott prepared him first for the telephone interview and when he advanced to a face-to-face interview, Scott was there to coach and provide additional support. I am happy to say my son received an offer for the position and Scott helped negotiate the highest salary possible. Again, I would recommend Scott as a Career Coach based on his expertise in the field, and honest and caring approach in helping people succeed. I began working with Scott after considering a career change. He helped me define what roles I would be qualified for using his expertise in recruiting. He helped me approach my manager for a substantial raise, which my manager agreed to. I may not leave my current company, but if I do I will be prepared.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically offer options of 4, 6, 8 packages. However because this is a customized service, I am flexible. Most clients start off at 4 - one hour individual sessions and my normal price is $100/hr. However, pricing varies upon client needs and can and will be adjusted accordingly.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I like to offer each potential client a free consultation. This allows them to learn a little about me as I will be working with them on some personal hurdles. During our complimentary session I would take the time to learn more about their challenges and strategize and put to action a "game plan" for breaking down each obstacle. Once we agree to work together, I would send the new client a career assessment to be done prior to our first session. Finally, during our sessions I would focus on the tactical “how to” so when I phase out my client has the tools to be successful.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a very wide variety of clients. However, to sum it up I have worked with the following industries: IT, Financial Services, Healthcare, Education, Non-Profit, Professional Services, Logistics, Manufacturing, Distribution, Life Science, Automotive, Telecommunications and Entertainment. I have successfully worked through the following challenges with clients: Career transition, work/life balance, negotiating raises and new comp, performance anxiety in interviews, resume building, personal branding, short and long term goal setting, in office politicking, leadership anxiety, public speaking, reinventing career, graduating with the wrong degree, not graduating and searching for career growth and much much more!
