Introduction: I help smart, capable women like you redefine what Healthy Living means to you and to incorporate important elements of Self-Care so that you can Get Unstuck, Get Your Life Back and Make Change Easy! When I talk about Healthy Living, it's about more than just one's physical wellness; it's about your emotional wellness, intellectual wellness, and spiritual wellness, too. Anything that is out of balance or causes you unhappiness in your life, such as career challenges, relationship issues, clutter, challenges setting boundaries, or making yourself a priority can affect your overall health and wellness. I will help you sort through what's really important to you, so that you can have a clearer vision of what you want your life to look like and then support you and hold you accountable as you begin to take those baby steps towards it. Many of my clients have struggled with dieting for many years, sometimes for their entire life. And, I can relate. Like many of you, I was on some type of diet from the time I was very young. I still remember my first one in fourth grade - I took boiled eggs in my lunch box! I continued to try all the fad diets, from cabbage soup to SlimFast, through my teens and into my 20s. Though I came to embrace a non-diet philosophy around the time my son was born 30 years ago, it was when I discovered Dr. Michelle May’s teachings and her Am I Hungry? Program that I fully understood the many facets of Mindful or Intuitive Eating. It was the "missing link" in both helping myself and supporting my clients to heal their relationship with food. A large part of my practice now is to help women quit dieting and learn to trust your body's wisdom about food, something you've known how to do since you were born. I hold a degree in Exercise Physiology from Georgia State University and am nationally certified by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a Certified Exercise Physiologist and the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). I am a Certified Wellness Coach, as well as a Licensed Facilitator and Mindful Eating Coach with the Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating Program. When I started with Lisa, I was looking for meaning in my life. She taugh me a way to access emotions that I had been unable to reach and to identiful what meaningful meant to me personally, not my family or society.
