FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Bar tending: Price includes time traveling, and any set-up/breakdown required. For bigger parties, prices quoted will be higher. Tutoring: For adults, I charge $20/hr. If I am traveling far distance, I will charge more depending on the location I go to. For children, I charge $20/hr for the first two kids. Any additional child is $10/hr.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Bar tending: Getting to know the client's needs, as well as the associated business (if any), and the purpose of the event. Knowing if and what kinds of bar tools, supplies, and mixers will be provided. Tutoring: Most importantly, I like to know the learning style and interests of the people I am tutoring. That gives me the ability to tailor lessons in a way that gives them the most potential to learn, and motivates them to engage in lessons.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bar tending: I've worked in hospitality about 10 years and have worked almost any position you can think of, from hosting to bar tending to planning special events. I am very knowledgeable with craft beer from all over the world. As far as cocktails, I am well-versed in the classics but also love Italian apertif cocktails. Tutoring: I have 9 years of formal education in Spanish, starting in 2005. My degree is in Spanish International Business, which I received in 2013, and I have heavy academic training in advanced grammar.
