FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each home is unique, each households energy usage is unique, we need to determine what type panels will work best, what size system you will need, what type inverter is compatible with your system or if multiple inverters are necessary. Typically we cost 10-30% below industry standard. We only offer tier 1 products without sacrificing quality. New government sponsored financing programs are now available to allow families still recovering from the last major recession an opportunity to take advantage of all the features and benefits of going solar without any out of pocket cost. Our goal is to utilize funds that are currently allocated towards your energy usage in a cost effective manner which will eliminate your current electrical portion of your utility bill. In some cases we are able offset portions of your natural gas usage by maximizing solar production credits.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to do an in home consultation. We need to do some investigative research to determine if a solar project is right for you. We evaluate your homes electrical system, outlets, lighting fixtures and appliances to determine the age and condition of your electrical infrastructure. In some cases electrical upgrades need to be done to make the home solar ready. We evaluate your homes windows, insulation, HVAC, and furnace to determine how energy efficient your home currently is. Next we evaluate your roof, what type of roof, the condition and your homes orientation to the sun to determine if a solar project can be done on your property. Once we have gathered that information we look at your energy consumption history over the last year. We need to determine how much energy you use, are you going to be adding any new major fixtures such as, swimming pools, hot tubs, additions or remodels to the home in the future or additions to the family. Once we have all the information we need we submit it over to our engineering team to custom design a system just right for you. We also check all local and federal government programs, Income Tax credit and rebate programs that your home is eligible for. We submit your address to government sponsored finance programs to see if your home qualify's for PACE financing and if so, how much your home qualify's for. Once we receive the solar system proposal we set up a second visit. If solar is right for you, we offer a free in home consultation. We go over the details of the system, the size, where we suggest the system to be installed. We also go over the solar production, financial savings, programs that are available and how much the system will cost to have installed on your home. We cover all the features and benefits of transitioning to sustainable energy. Once we have presented all the information and a decision has been made to proceed forward we start the installation process.
