Introduction
I have over a decade of personal practice in a variety of styles of yoga, and this contributes greatly as I guide each client through his or her own personal yoga practice, whether in a group class or private setting.
My own practice of ashtanga vinyasa yoga, blended with core and inversion training, gives me the tools to instruct advanced poses and transitions, as well as inversion-specific training including headstands, forearm stands, and handstands.
However, at the core of everything I teach is a focus on breathing and connection with the meditative aspects of yoga instead of becoming caught up in mastering each pose. Yoga is a practice, and the process is more important than the outcome. The outcome will be evident with dedication and patience.
I love seeing people do things they never thought possible, whether it is touching the floor for the first time in a forward fold or balancing successfully on two hands.
As people develop their own practice, I have the honor of being a guide and witness to their own transformation, physical, mental, and emotional.
