FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At the first lesson I engage my students in a conversation in English to learn about their interests and goals as well as to assess their language skills, while they get acquainted with my teaching methods and techniques. At our lessons we cover a variety of grammar and vocabulary topics necessary for everyday life as well as my students' professional sphere. We watch and discuss movies adapted to my students' level, read and analyze interesting texts and articles. Special emphasis is made on developing listening and speaking skills. Students get engaged in discussions and creative tasks. They are encouraged to search for general knowledge information or new developments in their field and make projects and presentations. We can practice writing reports, articles or letters if necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a University degree and twenty years of experience as an interpreter and ESL teacher. Throughout my career I have been searching for new resources and techniques to make my lessons even more interesting and useful for my students.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with adults of all age groups, various professions and ethnic background.
