FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, but the price depends on the length of the lesson, and also how much preparation I need to do for certain students. Rest assured that my price is in line with other professional teachers in our area, as I must of course remain competetive, Also, because I have more years & money invested in my education than an M.D., my extensive knowledge and experience, will give you the most for your investment by diagnosing and fixing vocal and musical issues that could otherwise leave you spinning your wheels for years!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whether you're a beginner or aspiring professional, whether piano or voice or other instrument, I want to know what YOU want to get from music lessons and will do all I can to help you achieve it. Before the first Voice Lesson, I ask the student to come prepared to sing a tune or piece they're familiar with. Then I assess any existing Vocal Issues and the need for greater Technical control of Muscles and Breathing as well as the physical Apparatus. Students are also given some Exercises and Warmups to begin each practice session with, as students must also be taught how to PRACTICE. If you're musically ambitious, I begin to teach you Music Theory and how to read Music and understand the symbols in Music. Then we start on a new song at once!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

This includes a Bachelor of Science in Music Education summa cum laude from Hunter College,NYC; I have two Master's degrees from Yale: A MASTER OF MUSIC and a MASTER OF MUSICAL ARTS.
