Introduction: Highland Canine Training, LLC is a multifaceted dog training business based out of North Carolina. Our kennels and dog training facility are located on a 17+ acre property in the foothills. Our dog obedience and behavior modification programs provide reliable, simple, and effective solutions to meet the needs of our clients, and are offered throughout the Southeastern United States. Our trainers are dedicated to providing quality solutions to fit the needs of our clients and their dogs. Highland Canine Training offers Dog Behavior Modification programs for owners with dogs that exhibit difficult behaviors. We work with dogs of all ages and breeds with a variety of problems such as aggression, fighting, biting, resource guarding, phobias, shyness, fears, anxiety and neurotic behaviors. With the knowledge obtained through years of working with problem dogs we are confident that we can find the solution you are looking for. We utilize proven, scientific techniques and applied behavior analysis along with sound operant conditioning principles to ensure that behavior problems are resolved in a safe and efficient way. An initial evaluation and behavioral analysis interview is needed to properly diagnose your dogs issues and determine the root causes of the problems. Our behavior modification programs are customized to each individual dog and their owner, as no two dogs are alike and each problem may stem from a different source. Understanding the behavior and cause is the first step to successful rehabilitation. A plan of action is then set in place to ensure the success of our program and the rehabilitation of the dog. If you are experiencing behavior problems with your dog and have questions or want more information on our dog behavior modification programs, feel free to contact us. At Highland Canine, we love having the opportunity to speak with our potential clients either over the phone or in person before we partner with them. This gives them the opportunity to ask us any questions about our background, the training process or the results before we move forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Highland Canine Training runs one of the largest accredited School for Dog Trainers on the East Coast. Not only do we produce some of best trainers in the industry, but we also guarantee each dog we work with will be trained to your specifications, for the life of the dog. We have never met a behavior issue we couldn't fix and that can be seen in the reputation we have in the area. We are very proud to be ranked the "Best Dog Trainer in Statesville".
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are many people that can call themselves a dog trainer, but very few that can produce the results that our clients are looking for. Make sure you are working with someone who has a formal education in canine behavior and knows multiple ways to train a dog.
