Introduction: Helene Garrovillo is an award-winning chef with nearly thirty years of experience. Having apprenticed with some of the finest chefs in Dallas, Helene was a top chef at Walt Disney World, Epcot Special Events Catering, and Norwegian Cruise Lines. She was invited to showcase her talents alongside the best chefs in the world at Walt Disney World special events such as Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. With Helene as the executive chef, Cocina 214 in Winter Park, Florida won the award for Best New Mexican Restaurant in Orlando.
Having left the corporate world, Helene has found new ways to share her passion for delicious food. She has a deep appreciation for local, organic, fresh foods, and she enjoys exploring new ways to create comfort foods that cater to the growing numbers of people with specialty diets, as well as food allergies and sensitivities.
Her culinary stylings now feature whole foods based vegetarian, gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free menus, as well as healing diets such as The Body Ecology Diet. Her recipes are original, unique, and inventive twists on some of her favorite dishes from around the world. For Helene, every dish is a work of art, and her greatest wish is that every guest can taste how much love went into preparing each meal.
