FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Normally, I charge $35 for 5+ hours of daycare and $25 for less than 5 hours. My fee is $45 for overnight boarding. Tyically, I charge $75 for overnight petsitting in the pet's home. I give a discount for multiple pets. I also work with owners whose pet(s) will be staying at DOGTOWN for an extended period. And, I am available evenings and weekends for daycare at no extra charge.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I encourage the pet owner to bring their dog to my home for a "meet and greet" as a first step. All the dogs can get to know each other, owners can get a tour of my home and property, and I can go over the daily routine and answer questions. I also have a detailed questionaire for the owner which covers everything from the pet's health to his/her favorite toys.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from George Mason University with a BA in Communications. I worked at a local veterinary hospital for almost 5 years as well as at a canine exercise and training facility. I am certified in pet CPR by the American Red Cross. I have experience working at an outdoor, off-leash canine training and exercise facility. I also have many years of experience training my own dogs in obedience. agility, and clicker training.
