Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I offer daycare and boarding on a small scale for small, medium and large dogs at my home. I have 2 1/2 acres with a large, securely-fenced yard so your pet can spend the day outside with my friendly, well-behaved dog. Your active dog can run, romp, sniff, chase, and play the day away in a safe, supervised setting. Or if your pup is more of a couch potato, I have plenty of comfy spots to snuggle indoors - as well as toys to stay occupied. I am home 24/7 so your pet will never be left alone, and my hours are extremely flexible. I keep groups small, so your dog will always get one-on-one attention. If your dog needs to stay the night, he/she has her choice of sleeping arrangements - even in bed with me! I want your pup to feel like part of my family. I can also come to your home if your pet feels more comfortable there. I have over 8 years of professional pet care experience. I worked at a local vet hospital for almost 5 years, so I have experience caring for sick and geriatric pets as well as giving medication. I am certified in pet CPR by the American Red Cross. I also have experience working at a dog training and exercise facility. If you like, I can reinforce basic commands and help with training issues. Please get in touch with me to arrange a time for you and your pup to stop by so that we can all get acquainted! At DOGTOWN I promise to keep your pet safe and happy while you are away. I love dogs, and I love being around dogs all the time! Caring for them is not a job to me. I also like people - especially dog people. I enjoy every aspect of my "job" - it's nothing but fun and games all day long (and of course some petting and cuddling, too)!

We were overwhelmed by the kindness and care DogTown put into our pups stay. The property is well set up for a young powerful dog like our boxer to run his legs off and equally accommodating for our aged bichon. Both dogs returned in a super happy and healthy state. Our drop off and pick up times were not the most convenient hour for any host but DogTowns's super hero hostess Sharon was so totally accommodating. She is also super knowledgeable about both our breeds and had terrific advice in general. We really loved the experience. We live in downtown dc and have tried many locations around the DC but don't ever expect to use another. It is DogToen for us from now on.

Sharon watched my lab, Twinkie, for years (she passed away last year at the age of 13). As an older dog, Twinkie became anxious and stressed at commercial daycare and boarding facilities - there were too many excited dogs. At DOGTOWN, it was just like home. Sharon only cares for one or two dogs at one time so the atmosphere is calm and laid back and Twinkie got plenty of attention. Also, Twinkie loved being outside, and Sharon has huge yard and lives in a rural area so there were plenty of sights and smells to keep her busy. At night, Twinkie slept in her preferred spot in Sharon's room at the foot of her bed - just like at home.If you are looking for a place that can feel just like home for your dog while you are away, I highly recommend DOGTOWN Day Camp for Dogs.

John, Thanks for your review. I miss Twinkie. She was such a happy, affectionate dog. But, I know she had a great life, and she is in a peaceful place now.

Sharon is legitimately a lifesaver. Upon moving to Virginia two years ago, our black lab mix developed such strong separation anxiety that he broke out of our house on multiple occasions. At our wits end (and not being willing to give up our dog), we found Sharon and her business. Our dog became comfortable so quickly, as he had both a human and other dogs to be with during the day while we were at work. As Dogtown is run out of Sharons home, it is a much less stressful environment than a kennel - truly like a second home for our pup. Sharon is always excellent with updates, feeding and medication as well. As of recent, we adopted another dog with a bit of a fearful side, and she has warmed up to Sharon and her place very quickly. We find this to be a testiment to Sharons kindness, patience and true love for dogs. We honestly could not recommend her more highly!
