I am grateful for my new, very patient, fun, and kind tutor.May 14, 2018Verified
Sara really helped me get to the next level with my Spanish by focusing on the fundamentals. She was really generous and easy to work with in terms of scheduling .May 14, 2018Verified
Sara is just the best. She's personable, makes this process fun, and knows exactly how to push you while maintaining your confidence (a tricky balance in language learning!). I started at a vaguely intermediate level, and she's patient with my lack of vocab and has found the perfect exercises and homework to keep me engaged and learning. I always look forward to our lessons; I just can't recommend her enough!Jan 23, 2018Verified

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? When I start lessons with a new student, we always discuss about their current Spanish level, their learning goals and their prefered learning style and based on that, I create custom-made lessons that will meet the student's needs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Growing up in a multicultural environnement, I was always very curious about different languages and cultures, so I knew from a really young age that I would want to work in a field related to languages. I started out doing interpretation and translation from Spanish to French or English at my church and I really enjoyed it and later I studied Linguistics and Translation which really helped me understand Spanish better. When I moved to the United States, it was clear to me that teaching Spanish was what I had to do, so I started to work as a private tutor and I could´nt ask for a better job, I absolutely love what I do.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I work with a variety of students such as those who only want to learn conversational Spanish to travel to Latin American countries and those who see it as opportunity to advance profesionally. Some of my current students also just want to learn Spanish to better communicate with family and friends. I have worked with students in different age groups. Whether it's an 18-year-old who is about to embark on a trip to a favorite South American country, or a 40-year-old who sees Spanish as an opportunity to be more impactful at his work place, my tutoring services cater to many.
