Introduction: Associates Of Arts with Field of Study in Music Theory and Guitar Performance. Extensive first hand musical knowledge with rock, jazz and classical guitar. I have experience played with big bands and jazz combos. I've also played in heavy metal bands the majority of my teenage and young adulthood. I am proficient in reading standard notation for both guitar and piano. Currently I am an in house teacher at a Guitar Center in the Houston area teaching piano and guitar. Also a teacher at Taylor Robinson Music Lessons. Teaching privately is my favorite though, and am working towards doing it full time. I have played in a variety of settings and contexts. From hotel lobbies to clubs to large auditoriums. Guitar and music is my life, and I love teaching people and getting to know them as they progress through their musical journey! I also love performing - I would be happy to provide classical or jazz music for your party or event. I can come as a soloist, with a drummer/bassist/and or pianist, or all four of us as a combo.

Tom has a very well rounded knowledge of music both history an theory. His understanding and patience alongside his humor makes learning fun and less stressful especially when taking on difficult pieces. He's always encouraging and influenced me to explore other music outside of my favorite genre, which allowed me to be more well rounded myself.

Tom is a most excellent guitarist and a great guitar teacher. He taught me everything from metal and jazz to country and Christmas tunes. He will work with you on any issues and is very patient when the exercises take a little while to master. He has been playing guitar since he was young, went to college for music, and really knows his stuff. I highly recommend Tom Savage for all of your guitar learning needs.
