FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing for in-home lessons is the same or less than you’d pay local music stores. I do offer discounts if customers pay for a bundle of lessons upfront.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For students, I start by asking what songs and styles they would like to learn. I then introduce them to the scales and chords they will need. Simple songs come first, then the skills used for them are added to for more difficult material. For clients of the Brian Duggan Agency, first I find out what type of musical act they need, or present them with a variety of options ranging from a solo guitarist/vocalist all the way to an 8-piece wedding band. In between are Rock, Funk, and Jazz groups.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied guitar at S.U.N.Y. Oneonta. Later I had the privilege to study with Dr. William Raynor, an NYU professor who custom-tailored an intense lesson program for me. I have been performing professionally for over 20 years and teaching for over 15.
