FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every survey job is different. That is one reason why I do not quote someone a price until I learn more details about what your survey needs are.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I basically will ask the client for the address of the property to be surveyed and what is needed such as the boundary corners marked and do you need a certified map as the final product. I also ask if there is any dispute involved with the neighbor or are you just putting up a fence and would like some stakes along the boundary line. I also ask for the billing address and usually require a deposit down before any survey work is to be started.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a land surveyor for over 30 years. I am a member of PSLS, which is the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors. As a licensed land surveyor in the state of Pennsylvania I am required to have 24 credits of education bi-annually. These credits are acquired either by attending classes in Hershey, PA or on-line.
