I am writing to recommend Julie as an English or Math Tutor. Julie is an excellent and knowledgeable teacher with experience working with high school students. She is strong in both writing and math, achieving an 800 on her math SAT exam. Julie is a recent graduate of Washington University in St. Louis where she tutored students as part of a program called “Books and Basketball STL” in the St. Louis area. In addition, she tutored English and Math while abroad in Tanzania and Peru. During high school, Julie tutored Geometry and has knowledge of advanced mathematics due to her coursework while at Wash U. Julie is patient, relates easily to students and achieves great results with them. I highly recommend Julie for any student looking to improve their skills.

Julie was so helpful! Explained everything in the perfect way for my visual mind to process and understand correctly, after years of trial and error with other tutors! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$50/ hour of tutoring. Deductions and additions based on distance from my house if I travel and amount of outside work required of me.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically ask for course material ahead of time. I then conduct an initial meeting with the student where we assess where the student is versus where he or she has the potential to be. We write a short term goal and long term goal at the end of each session. I assign additional homework and focus points. Each session builds off of the last. I can be reached by cell phone or email between sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 7 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I also took courses on Job Searching, SAT test prep, and Public Speaking. I personally excelled academy, taking advanced math, science, and writing courses at a top 15 University and achieving a 2250 on my SAT.
