FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally, repairs and maintenance start at $29.99. There are NO hourly fees. Most repairs do not need additional parts, but for those that do, you will pay just that; the actual cost of that part.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Upon making contact, I will get what information I can about the device before I travel to the customer's home to pick up the device. Most repairs are completed within a few hours, but I always take pictures and keep customers updated on the progress of the repair. Once complete, I arrange a good drop off time. I drop off the working computer, collect my pay, and then make sure the customer has my contact information if he or she ever needs help in the future.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have only recently enrolled in school for IT. However, most of my training comes from having worked for Microsoft and now working for Apple. The training I received was direct, much of the same material that is sent to schools for others to learn through college. Being an insider, my training is far more in depth, and I have continued access to all new training from both mentioned companies. I am thrilled to be in school, but am even happier knowing that my knowledge of computers and network support comes from the most up to date sources and not just from a degree obtained years and years ago.
