- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. Painting is priced either by the square foot or by unit pricing. Wall covering are usually priced by the single roll (European or American) or by the yard (54" Commercial). Time and materials pricing may be used if a project is very detailed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every contact is usually because of a personal recommendation. I meet with client to discuss the scope of the project and take measurements. An appropriate time is scheduled to begin the work. I always begin on schedule and stay on the project until completion. If other arrangements need to be made I communicate these clearly and in a timely manner. I am always available by telephone, text or email. Depending on the size of the job, a deposit may be requested at the time of the booking and the balance is due on completion of the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
- I have 30 years experience on the job. - I apprenticed and worked with my brother doing high end commercial work for contractors, decorators and property managers for 20 years. - I am certified through Johnson and Wales University in Interior Decorating and Design. - I worked as a consultant to Colonial Interiors of Johnston, RI for 25 years. - I am a member of the Regional Building Committee of Jehovah's Witnesses volunteering in their decorating division. - I have been a HunterDouglas window fashion priority dealer since 1984 - I am experienced with all forms of wallpaper and wallcovering installation.
