Charelle at Something New was exactly what my husband and I were looking for when we were in need of hiring a coordinator for our wedding. As soon as we were engaged I was overwhelmed with all the decisions to make and the people I needed to contact (i.e., I had no idea you had to contact a DJ, a flower person, a food person, a dancefloor person, a tent person, agh!!). When searching for a wedding coordinator, we met with a few, but none of them made us feel as welcome as Charelle made us feel. She was always smiling and handled everything calmly and effectively (even when putting up with my crazy indecisions!). We understood that weddings were expensive, but we had a very tight (read: tiny) budget and didn’t want to compromise on our vision of having a classic, beautiful wedding (read: champagne tastes on a beer budget). Other coordinators we met with scoffed (literally!) at our budget and said that it could not be done, but Charelle had so many great ideas to cut our budget but not skimp on our essentials (read: Martha-Stewart-Wedding essentials). From the beginning it was like she was reading our minds and would bring up things that weren’t even on our radar as far as what we needed for our wedding. I’m not talking about up-selling us things, I’m talking about basic things like having a table available for us to sign our wedding certificates and making sure the flow of traffic from wedding site, to appetizers area, to dining area worked well. Charelle is a problem-solver extraordinaire! We hired Charelle to do all of the coordination of the wedding. We even joked to her that we literally just wanted to show up to our wedding, get married, eat amazing food, dance, and then leave. Little did we know that she would take this joke to heart… She took our (really, it was mine, not my husbands!) gazillion Pinterest board ideas and made it into a reality on our wedding day. After a few in-person meetings with Charelle and several phone calls (me calling her because I came up with YET ANOTHER new idea!), she delivered EXACTLY what we asked her for: we showed up, got married, ate amazing food, danced to our heart’s content, and then left--all in superb Martha-Stewart-Wedding style (obviously). I have to say that when we showed up to the wedding site (which was at Kualoa Ranch) I almost started crying BEFORE I even walked down the aisle because what Charelle delivered was something out of a wedding magazine. She took my millions of photos and just-one-more ideas and turned them into a fairy tale wedding--all within our budget. It was a dream wedding that my friends and family had a blast at and all commented on how much they loved it and how beautiful it was. My husband and I are so happy that we hired Charelle to plan our wedding--it saved us from experiencing any stress and gave us the time to just sit back and enjoy our wedding day (and the months leading up to it). A big mahalo to Charelle and her Something New staff--we couldn’t have pulled it off without you (seriously!!)!

Something New planned our wedding in September 2016 at Kualoa Ranch, Oahu. It was the best money we spent on our entire wedding! Charelle and Jillian have tremendous experience and provided the best guidance. Their focus on details, organization, schedule, and communication made our day perfect, as well as far less stressful. They have the best connections and recommended only the top tier and best value vendors for our wedding. I felt that Charelle and Jillian went above and beyond on each piece of our wedding celebration. They even helped with some events we wanted to plan on the days leading up to the event. Both Charelle and Jillian are lovely, kind, smart, easy-going, and positive people, which really helped during the high stress planning and event. Our guests have said it was one of the best weddings they have ever attended, wedding of the century! This is in large part because of Something New.

We had a fantastic experience using Something New for our Day-Of Coordination for our recent wedding at Kualoa Ranch. Charelle was fun to work with, organized, easy to communicate with and a wealth of knowledge for every question I had in the lead-up to the wedding. She met with us the week before the wedding and also ran our rehearsal for our bridal party the day before the wedding, which helped everyone feel confident for the ceremony the next day. The wedding day itself went by flawlessly -- Charelle and her assistant Jillian did a great job managing all the vendors and we were able to stick to the timeline without any delays. Having the two of them there coordinating everything definitely helped me stay calm and enjoy the wedding day instead of worrying about things. We received so many compliments from our guests on what a smooth day it was, resulting in a fantastic wedding everyone enjoyed. Initially I was on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator but my husband and I think it was one of the best decisions we made! Thank you Something New for doing an incredible job and making sure our wedding day was perfect!

This was for our destination wedding, which makes it a little more challenging, but Charelle and her team did a great job. There were 3 of them total for a wedding of 105 guests. They setup all the decorations, menus, programs, and flowers for us. Charelle even made sure after the wedding that all of our items were placed in one box to be put in a designated car, and the gifts/cards were secure and given to the maid of honor. Our family did not have to lift a finger for setup or for cleanup of items, which was very nice. With no hesitation, they carried out all the tasks asked of them. All the major things were taken care of to help our wedding go smoothly. We had a meeting to go over the entire timeline and details, and communicated through email. Charelle took charge of the wedding rehearsal, as well which was awesome. I would recommend her for your wedding.
