C&T Law Offices
About this pro
Attorneys who will listen to your concerns and help you understand your options. Courts look at matters objectively; however, family law matters tend to be rather subjective. This can lead to a lot of confusion. Kristen strives to help her clients by matching their goals with possible legal outcomes. Before, during, and after working on a case, knowing we did our best for our clients is what drives us in our profession. We are dedicated to helping our clients by focusing on their best interests in our areas of practice: family law, traffic tickets, wills and estate planning, and animal law.

Q & A
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our rates differ on the type of legal matter needed. Family law matters are an hourly rate with an advanced fee deposit. Most other matters, such as traffic or animal tickets, are a flat rate fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? When first meeting a new client at his or her free consultation, our attorneys make sure there is understanding of confidentiality and purpose to the conversation while maintaining a calm atmosphere. The conversation with new clients allows us to get information we need to help and to allow the client to voice his or her concerns or questions about the process at hand. Hiring an attorney is an important decision that should not be based solely upon advertisement. People should meet the attorney he or she is considering hiring to learn about them and their practice.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? The attorneys at C&T Law Offices graduated from UMKC School of Law and have several years of experience. They are certified Guardian ad Litems in Missouri and registered with Jackson County, MO for appointments in juvenile and domestic matters. Kristen is a certified Guardian ad Litem in the State of Missouri and has been involved with this area of practice for the majority of her career, including the UMKC Family Law clinic. Kristen currently volunteers with a local animal welfare organization on weekends. Additionally, she interned with the KC Municipal Prosecutor's Office and was an Animal Law Society president while in law school. She has actively handled a variety of animal law related matters, ranging from municipal tickets to civil disputes.
