Introduction: I have taught piano and flute lessons for over eight years and have worked with many types of students. As a young professional, I believe I connect well with children and like to add fun into the lessons to inspire the love of music in my students. I have a classical music mindset and use sets of books that include a lesson, recital, technique, and theory book. Once the student is past the beginner stage, I help them find their "fun" songs whether that is a pop piece, Disney classics, or seasonal music such as Christmas music. I really enjoy working with children and helping them find their passion and love for something that is so important in life. Music is a skill that we can use for our entire lives and there aren't many activities like that in today's world. If I can help someone fall in love with the piano or flute, like I have, then I am doing my job successfully. Seeing that light of excitement is inspirational.
