FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We handle all of our personal-injury cases on a contingency basis, so our fees come out of any recovery. If we recover nothing, our clients pay nothing. This mean that you do not have to worry about large legal bills arriving in the mail each month. We will be aggressively pursuing your case, and you will not pay more or less based on how hard we are working. In other matters, such as business disputes, our fee structure varies. We handle some of these matters on an hourly basis.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our preference is to meet potential clients in person. We are willing to travel to a convenient location to make this happen. Typically, both of our founding attorneys attend these meetings so that our clients get to know both of the attorneys who will be involved in their case. While each case our firm handles has one attorney who serves as the lead lawyer and primary point of contact, both of our attorneys are involved in every case and available to clients. If an in-person meeting is not feasible, we are happy to set up an introductory phone call.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We went to law school at the University of Notre Dame (Matt Swift) and the University of Nebraska (Mike Pospisil). Mike went on to clerk for the Supreme Court of Nebraska. Our prior firm experience includes an international mega-firm, a litigation boutique focused on plaintiffs' commercial litigation, and an area defense firm. Our 30 years of combined experience prosecuting and defending cases throughout the country allows us to bring valuable experience and insight to each case.
