John did an amazing job! He not only reinforced the beams in the attic to ensure a sturdy hold but installed an outlet near the tv mount to get rid of unsightly cords. He mounted the satellite box so it’s not seen but we can bounce the infrared off the window to hit the box. John on time, very reasonably priced, and a total professional. Quality of his work is outstanding and I will definitely hire him again for our home theater install!

This has to be by far the best service I have received - ever. John is very punctual and professional and he sure knows everything there is to know about installation of audio/visual equipment. He installed 2 existing surround systems for me and I am experiencing the best sound I have ever experienced from these sound systems. Everything looks beautiful, no more wires. I'll have him back to redo the wiring that DirecTV did in my bedroom.

I was very impressed and satisfied with the quality of work by John and his associate. Not only did he show up on time, he showed up early. This gave him ample time to get a good look at the job that was in front of him. After everything was finished he made sure that everything was completed to my satisfaction. He even went over and above and connected the cables that I forgot to give him before mounting the TV. Ittook a little extra time but graciously performed the extra task for me. If you are in need of any A/V work, John and his team at TRACSS will get it done and get it done right. I've already discussed another job with him and will be welcoming him back very soon.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The fees promoted on Thumbtack in reference to services such as TV mounting are generally for a single installation. If you are looking to have multiple televisions mounted, we usually will offer a discount on additional televisions. We carry a wide selection of television mounts to fit any need. Please feel free to contact us to receive direct pricing, as we carry professional grade products at wholesale prices. Wiring installation is priced at approximately $100 per run, given that the run is through an open attic or crawl space and terminates to an interior wall. Exterior walls and runs from a ground floor to a higher floor carry a higher cost. Home theater installation is always priced after a conversation with the customer due to the complexities that this type of job can entail. This insures that you receive a quote that delivers your individual needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We prefer a more personal approach. Fulfilling a customer's needs is our top priority. After initial contact on Thumbtack, we prefer a phone conversation to establish a concrete, detailed understanding of the customer's job. For more complex installations we do offer a free in home consultation in order to provide a customized estimate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our two owners - John and Wayne Barber have extensive experience in audio, video, networking, and computer services. John retired from the military in December of 2015. While serving he specialized in satellite communications, network administration, server administration, and end user technical support. He provided on demand internet, video, audio, and telephone support to over 3,000 users in a variety of rugged environments. Prior to his military service he was a business sales representative for a major technology retailer in the West Texas region. Wayne retired from the Department of Homeland Security after over 32 years of service. He served in several roles including Senior Special Agent and Tactical Communication Officer. He has extensive experience in professional wiring, radio communications, video surveillance systems, networking, server administration, audio and video integration, and commercial installation.
