- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature from NYU with a concentration in Spanish. I am a certified Medical Interpreter (Spanish/English).
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began working as a translator and language coach while teaching English abroad in Spain in 2009 and 2010. Upon returning to the United States I began freelancing part-time while I earned my certification in medical interpreting (Spanish/English) and worked as an instructor of English to Spanish speakers and Spanish to English speakers.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have tutored students five through 18 and worked extensively with adults, as well: both privately and in workshop/classroom settings. I've taught beginner and advanced language learners--native and non-native English speakers alike. Graduate students, non-profit organizations, business owners and published authors have all been collaborators of mine in writing, editing and translating. I invite all types of work and enjoy my clients' diversity and the creative challenge they provide me.
