FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My Studio time is $60.00 per hour and the average painting takes about 200 hours. Masterworks and large works in general take several hundred to a few thousand hours. Labors of love are on-going for years and since I'm not in a hurry I have no idea how long many of them have taken––long enough that several are just Not For Sale arbitrarily speaking but I do consider offers in the form of a personal check.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Here are the typical steps in the acquisition of my services or adoption of my Art-works: Step 1.) Contact either by mail, e-mail, phone call, a personal referral by a collector. Step 2). We like to pre-qualify our clients and collectors by e-mail correspondence or a phone call to determine their sincerity and ability to buy expensive luxury items like Art. Step 3.) We establish your budget and or general price range of your interest. Step 4.) a. We send you photo-jpg examples if the correspondence is through the e-mail or b. we will send out a few quality high res. photos that are examples of available work in the amount of your budget or price range… c. We at this time ask you to let us know which of the examples you would like to consider. Step 5.) a. We then set an appointment time for you to come to the Studio for a viewing of a selection of works within your price range. b. Sometimes you will either ask to see more examples, agree to purchase one or more form the examples. Step 6.) We then will offer a small collectors discount of 15% to be included if you will consider two or more of your favorites as a one time package deal. Step 7.) Once we have quoted the price and provided full disclosure, provenance, and informed you of payment options we will be silent until you respond. Commissions: The Artist will gladly make something especially for you for the amount of your budget and price range. The Deposit for a commission is 50% down, 25% when the Art-work is completed, and the Balance is due on the day we ship or deliver the work. We will offer in house financing at 6% interest for up to 3 years. We do have a Lay-away plan where we keep the Art until it is paid in full without interest.
