FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work on a "contingency" basis. This means that I front all the costs, and clients don't pay anything unless they recover from their employers (or former employers).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free consultation with all potential clients--as much time as needed, to learn about their case and whether I can help them. I then follow up with a confirmation letter, letting them know whether I will take their case, and how I expect to move forward.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have three law degrees: a J.D., a LL.B. and a LL.M. I also have a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Communications. I worked as an investigative reporter for many years, which trained me to "find the story" and "get the evidence." My writing has won national awards, and I spent many years covering trials as a reporter. My first legal job, however, as with a major corporation, where I handled Human Resource Law. So now, as an employment litigator, I am comfortable in the courtroom, during trial, or in the boardroom, negotiating a settlement for my clients.
