My passion for the French language is infectious. My enthusiasm and fluency guarantee that you and yours will enjoy the learning process. My guidance ensures that the desired level of reading, writing and speaking is attained. I tailor each lesson to your level, provide helpful links and assign exercies to help you attain your goals. My students appreciate my support, patience and excellent pedagogical methods.
I am completely fluent in French. Whenever I speak to a new French acquaintance, I’m always asked whether I’m French, the ultimate compliment. I studied at Mount Holyoke College, La Sorbonne and Sciences Po - the former is an exceptional school in the US and the latter two (limited to top scholars) are in Paris. I spent my junior year abroad in Tours, a city in the Loire valley and in Paris. I love sharing my passion for the French language. I'm also a French-to-English translator.
I love introducing students to the beauty of the French language and helping those with a working knowledge to improve their fluency. Hearing my students speak with a beautiful accent and seeing their progress in writing and comprehension is very gratifying.

Sarah showed me how to bring my English to the next level. She is very patient and attentive. Learning with books and videos is a valid method, but it doesn't help you choose the right words, that's where Sarah's expertise comes in. She patiently helps me choose between several synonyms or phrases to find the most appropriate way of expressing an idea, just like a native speaker. This help is invaluable and very hard to find, but it's the only way to sound more authentic. I am happy to have met Sarah and highly recommend her to anybody wanting to improve their English.
