Introduction: I work very well with children and adults to find a personalized method of teaching swimming and water safety. I enjoy every second of joy and wonder I see on kids' faces as they learn to swim, as well as being able to teach them life-saving water safety. Showing someone how to swim can bring so much fun into their lives, especially in Florida.

Meg is helping my 2 year old twins learn to be water safe and swim. She is very good with kids, able to jump between activities to keep their interest. She teaches how to "talk to the fishies", rescue Nemo from the step just below where they are comfortable, and jump into the pool and reach for the edge. One twin is a natural waterbaby and is progressing faster than I thought a 2 year old could. The other twin is more afraid of the water, but Meg is patient and calm, and adjust her teaching to what my kid is comfortable with while still pushing her to improve.

Average of $25 for half hour lessons for children ad $20 for adult
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a lifeguard for 7 years and a WSI for 6. As well as working for Publix for 3, providing premier customer service. I have been doing Private swim lessons for 2 years. I have lifeguarded for the Citys of Largo and Pinellas Park
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I loved working with kids while lifeguarding and teaching kids at The City pools, I found I am able to teach kids better on a one on one level and at their own pace by individualizing the lessons to fit their needs. I have been a water lover and competitive swimmer since the age of 7 and feel that learning to swim can help kids in many ways as it did me.
