Torrey Pines Dressage
About this pro
I was looking for an instructor to teach my whole family to ride. I spoke to several people online and liked Angela from the first contact. I have taken my first few lessons with her and she is great. She is patient, understanding, and has a sense of humor about mistakes. Her ability to understand the why I am doing something wrong and then explain it has been amazing. She is a natural teacher. Her animals are well cared for and the environment at her place is positive and friendly. Updated January 2018 We have now worked with Angela for almost a year and I can’t say enough regarding what we have learned and how Angela has gone above and beyond to ensure we understand not just riding but all aspects of safety and horse care. She helped us find both of our horses and worked with us as new horse owners to make sure we learned everything we needed to know. We were so lucky to find her! She has made this new adventure a great one.Jan 21, 2018Verified
Angela is fantastic! We have worked with her for over a year now. She has shown extreme patience with our 8 year old daughter while also encouraging her to try new things. She has a great knowledge of horses, riding styles, and the necessary equipment as she has guided us through our adventures in horseback riding. We highly recommend Angela for all your horseback riding needs.Dec 23, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?$50 an hr per lesson if you have your own horse it is an additional $10 to use one of our lesson horses. This fee goes back towards care and maintenance of the horse that is used for lessons
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? There will be a small verbal interview to get an idea of level of riding and which horse is best suited for first ride with us. Upon arrival rider will be walked through a series of horse related activities, putting halter on, leading horse out of stall, walking to saddling area. These are all basic skills that will let the instructor know level of confidence of rider and which horse and which steps to be taken from that point.
