Ben is dedicated to his students and loves to have fun. I got to see him in action when he taught a youth choir for our church. He really took an interest in the kids and wanted them to do well. Thank you for making music fun and educational at the same time.Oct 29, 2016
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Lesson rates are comparable to local competition in the area and are determined by three factors: 1) Time of each lesson a) 60-minute ($55) b) 45-minute ($40) c) 30-minute ($27) How many lessons are paid for in advance: a) 4-6 b) 7-12 c) 13+ Frequency of lesson a) 1 per week (most encouraged) b) 2 per month (only use if budget or schedule does not allow weekly) c) 1 per month (only use if budget of schedule does not allow the first two options)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?A new customer contacts me to set up a time for a consult. We meet to determine the level of the student, see what literature and methods books are currently in use, set goals, and determine a lesson schedule and payment plan and schedule. The consult is free of charge. When the consult is concluded, the student or parent paying for the student pays the first fee prior to the first lesson. We meet weekly from that time forward. I also share online resources with students to guide their practice sessions and help retain what was taught in each lesson. Students are free to e-mail me any questions they may have between lessons.
