Fitness For Real People
About this pro
Fitness For Real People was started 3 years ago, stemming from a passion to help others enhance their quality of life. With degrees in both psychology and sociology, a background in nutrition, and experience as a Crossfit trainer, I offer well-rounded whole health coaching to all clients. I take great pride in being able to relate to all people and work on an in depth one-on-one basis. I offer personalized health and nutrition counseling, fitness sessions, and sports psychology coaching. After a consultation, either over the phone or in person, I can help you establish a fitness plan to fit your needs and recommend the best services to help you reach your goals!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Typically when I link up with a new client, I will spend one FREE session getting to know them. Whether it is an over the phone chat or a meeting at a coffee shop, we will go over their fitness experience and personal goals. I will answer any questions and give them a brief overview of what I recommend. From there we discuss my service options and what is the most comfortable and beneficial to them and establish a first month plan.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a BA in psychology and in sociology. I am a Crossfit Level 1 trainer. and have extensive experience both training and coaching in the crossfit and interval training styles. I have worked with many on sports psychology and the importance of the mind in fitness. I also have experience being mentored by one of the top holistic health coaches in nutrition and wellness.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?My passion for health and fitness stemmed when I myself changed my lifestyle. I was struggling mentally for some time; depression and anxiety. When I started crossfit it changed my life and I knew very quickly that what I wanted to do was help others improve their lives that same way health and fitness has improved my own.
