FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It depends on what type of work they are requesting. I charge cost plus 10% on all material purchased for each customers yards. That covers my time and gas to go pick up the items. All receipts will be provided and any left over material would be stored at their home if possible. The actual work will be charged on a case by case basis depending on the present condition of the yard, terrain, etc... I promise a fair price we are both happy with.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would first like to see the job and speak with them to understand what that want. A basic yard cut and clean up or do they want a manicured yard. How concerned are they with weed prevention and fertilizer their yard etc. I want to build a profile for each customer and maintain a record. I want them pleased with the service I provide.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Give as much detail as possible to better help build a quote from. A typical job starts when the customer contacts a service professional. Which leads to the service professional going and looking at the job site speaking directly with that customer and from that information puts together a quote for the job. The roles are a little reversed here with Thumbtack. The service professional seeks you out and only has the information you put in your rk description to go off of. So please add as much information as possible and pictures. Pictures provide so much info.
