- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our basic rate is $55 per 45 minute session. We can schedule 90 minute sessions when the client desires and when we can also see the need and benefit. The 90 minute rate is $100. When more than one person needs or desires to be involved in a session, the rate increases to $95 for a 45 minute session and $175 for a 90 minute session. Expectations that develop which might require working with larger groups can be negotiated. Should we and the client all see the benefit in working together on a long-term basis, discounts can be arranged.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will first talk over the phone and determine a few specifics--why the client seeks help, who will be involved, any goals the client might already have set, etc. After that first session, an internet session will be arranged, unless the client is comfortable driving to Lexington, KY in order to meet face-to-face. On occasion, we may agree on certain pre-session activities we or the client might undertake in order to enhance our session's effectiveness, but in most cases, the actual work will take place during our sessions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Doctorate in Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary. This doctorate demonstrates expertise in the areas of Leadership and Cross-Cultural Ministry. I first entered ministry in September 1994, although I first became an active leader in pastoral work in 1992. This pastoral experience, coupled with "hands-on" leadership in the secular world while studying for my doctorate convinced me of the degree of isolation experienced by the majority of people in the United States as well as their desire to develop enriching relationships and to live so that their life positively affects those around them. These desires naturally conform with the skills required to lead. My method of counseling focuses on empowering clients to see beyond their immediate situation in order to fulfill these basic human goals.
