I've been a student of Heath's for three years, and I could not ask for a better teacher. Whatever you want to learn, whether it be jazz, rock, or latin, Heath is very knowledgeable in all forms of drumming. Lesson times are very flexible, and can change to fit into your schedule, not the other way around. Overall, Heath provides excellent, specific instruction catered to what you as an individual want to learn.

At 9yrs old, in just a short span of 9 months with Roe Drums, Josh went from not even knowing how to hold the sticks, to using proper technique, reading music fluently on his own, mastering several complex Latin and Jazz grooves, while also excelling at Rock. Heath is a motivational and patient instructor with the right balance of encouragement and discipline. As a private instructor, Heath doesn't settle for anything less than exactness in technique, as well as clean reading and execution, which allows students to excel more efficiently and develop a solid foundation. My son is currently playing at an intermediate level and absolutely LOVES his lessons and is always looking forward to them.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For weekly 30min DRUM lessons I charge $80/month. And for weekly hour lessons I charge $140/month. For weekly 30min PIANO lessons I charge $60/month. And for weekly hour lessons I charge $100/month.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In the first lesson I like to get to know the customer. What their interests are, why they want to take lessons. Who their favorite artists are. And get to know what skill level they are at, so I can build a curriculum that is custom to their individual needs and skill set.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have received private instruction from working professionals in the industry since 2002. I have experience working in the industry myself. As well as a degree in Commercial Music. I have been teaching privately for the last 10 years. And recently have been teaching in public schools for the local school district.
