Introduction: As a pianist, I feel like I am able to adjust what I'm playing to how the audience is reacting. My style is contemporary, so I think that makes me stand out as well. My favorite place to play piano is at wedding cocktail hours. I love the happiness and conversation going on around me as I provide a peaceful backdrop on people's special days. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically I charge about $300 for a full ceremony, $150 an hour for cocktail hours, and I adjust the price according to different requests. For example, if someone wanted just one song played at their wedding I would charge around $100 - $150.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was contacted by an event planner that had heard me play and sing before. I did one wedding, and then got started by word of mouth! I am now looking to grow my services.

I recently played at my first religious wedding, which was a fun learning process. I am willing to do full religious ceremonies including a processional, responsorial psalm, eucharist, and recessional.
