    About this pro

I have been training for 17 years, use force free dog training to help you develop a dog that wants to do the right thing and looks to you for the answers. I have been training service dogs for over 12 yrs. I specialize in behavior modification methods that address the issue causing the problem not just shut the behavior down and possibly cause others. I come to you to help fix the issue that is causing the problem, not just give you a bandaid to stop the behavior. I help you work on making your relationship with your pet one that you both can be happy with. I do in home grooming as well as dog walking. I love watching a dog that was desperately trying to tell it's owners what the issue was finally make a connection with their owner. It's like watching a light go on, and seeing the look of they really get why I don't like Bob! I love having a client respond with, I can't believe you fixed it that easily. I never thought my dog would (fill in the blank). And best of all it is doing everything by making the dog think about what it is doing so it becomes a rewarding habit for them to seek out the right answer.

      Q & A

      • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
40 dollars first consultation, 30 dollars an hour each session thereafter. Standard mileage rates apply. First 10 miles are free.
      • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet the client and their dog first session to see what the client is reaching out for a trainer for. See what the dog needs and go over how I train with the client. I come up with a training plan tailored to each dog and owner to help the owner set the dog up to succeed.
      • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do regular Webinars through the Association of Professional Dog Trainers or APDT. As well as The Pet Professional Guild and International Association of Behavior Consultants picking up every seminar, DVD, and book on Science based training I can, lots of hands on experience and several classes under my belt. I work with and am mentored by several other force free trainers, Veterinary behaviorists, and Applied animal behaviorists. If I do not know the answer to a problem I have this pool of professionals to seek help from. I have trained well over 900 private lesson dogs and many, many group classes. I am able to teach 42 different tasks for service dogs at last count. I am an AKC CGC evaluator, able to give STAR puppy classes, and working towards my CPDT-KA.
