About this pro

How does your business stand out?

I love the end of a session when a client says they were skeptical, but had an amazing experience and hadn't felt that peaceful and stress-free in years. I love hypnosis and helping people quickly resolve issues that have stopped them from living satisfying and meaningful lives. See the video testimonial on my Facebook page under posts at bewellhypnosis.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

One of the best things about hypnosis is how cost-effective, quick and powerful a transformation it can provide to clients. To me it's very creative, artful and client-centered.

    Quit for good!
I was pretty skeptical about hypnosis. I'd been smoking since age 16 and really wanted to quit. Allison helped me quit for good. She taught me some things about smoking I didn't know. I thought it would be weird but it was mostly relaxing. I also used the tools she gave me to pass a work test. R.E.

    A great experience
Allison was awesome, she took the time to explain everything to put me at ease. Our session was very relaxing and helpful. Later she followed up with additional instructions and an audio I could listen to for self-hypnosis.

Hypnotherapy helps elderly woman with Alzheimers cope better.
Hi, we live in Flint, Michigan. My mother was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Not surprisingly, she was distressed and very anxious. We went looking for a non-drug, anti-anxiety therapy, and a friend suggested hypnotherapy. She also suggested Allison Grace...who lives in Shoreline, Washington. Who knew that hypnotherapists can treat clients via telephone or Skype? Now we know. Allison hypnotized my mother, who is 84 right over the phone. Not only did she treat her anxiety by making her feel " totally at peace" and "in harmony with the world" (never heard my mom say that before!), she also treated other symptoms such as leg pain. After the session, the pain would be gone. Ms. Grace can tailor her therapy to whatever the situation or symptom. Thank you, Allison!

Allison of "Be Well " Hypnosis is Excellent!
I am writing on behalf of my mother who is a current client of Allison's. Allison is working with my mother who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and has since struggled with depression/anxiety. Allison has been able to work with my mother remotely via phone to achieve excellent results since Mom feels most comfortable in her home environment. My mother has felt calmed and "at peace with the world" as a result of Allison's professional and expert intervention techniques. Please do not be skeptical of this treatment-it really works and my whole family is now reaping the results.

I had a relaxing, refreshing session with Allison Grace.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The cost is $125.00 per hour. The first session is 1.5 to 2.0 hours. Additional sessions are one hour in length unless I speak with the client beforehand and it is agreed that additional time is necessary.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Prior to the first session, I may talk to the client or send them a form to complete to find out about their goals. When a client comes into the office we discuss how we will work together to reach their goal (s). When working with teens or youth, parental or guardian participation may be required. Safety, comfort and being heard are my top priorities. I will answer any questions at that time. Then I have the client relax and experience hypnosis. Clients will remember all we say and will never say or do anything outside their values or comfort zone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Credentials: Master's Degree Counseling Psychology Western Michigan University Kalamazoo, MI BA, Psychology Aquinas College Grand Rapids, MI CHt, Bastyr University Weight Management Certified Bastyr University Performance Certified: College Entrance Exams & Sports Subliminal Sciences Specialties: Medical Hypnosis Stress management Narcissism Habit change Pain management Career development Family dysfunction Relationships I have been privileged to work with people from all walks of life, children, teens and adults.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for over ten years. During that time, I also worked as a personal counselor. I wanted to make an impact in a way that didn't take years for clients. Cost, time and results are very important to me. I was very skeptical of hypnosis and hypnotherapy, but I had to find out more. During my training, I recognized that hypnosis could provide fast change without the huge financial burden and long-term emotional costs that individuals experience in mainstream counseling, revisiting the same issues repeatedly. I found I had a respect and love for the art and science of hypnosis. The fact that the subconscious mind drives the majority of our behavior was a significant factor in my choosing hypnosis as my therapeutic approach with clients. The rest is history.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with people who have: cancer, chronic illness, experienced traumas, chronic pain; clients wanting to create good habits, release bad habits; people experiencing anxiety, stress, phobias, and fear. I've worked with people who have toxic relationships and need to build their personal power and leave guilt behind. I see the potential in my clients and I know hypnosis works.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My clients have overcome lifelong habits and traumas that have held them back, leaving them behind for good! Many clients have smoked and/or chewed tobacco since their teens and have quit for good after trying many other approaches. My weight loss clients lose pounds and inches without starvation. Clients experiencing anxiety and depression work on changing their perceptions of themselves, providing them with a voice and personal power. Clients learn how food can be very powerful in impacting their mood, energy and physical health. Our work together removes obstacles to healthy eating so that mind and body become balanced.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I want clients to know that they are in a state of hypnosis as they fall asleep at night and as they wake each morning. If they have ever experienced driving to a destination and arrived without attention to how they got there, that is also a hypnotic state. It's not magic, but can provide a magical transformation. Our subconscious mind drives 85% of our behavior. Get in the driver's seat.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Clients need to know if they really want the change for themselves or if they are trying to change for someone else. If the change isn't something the client wants, it will be resisted.
