Lydia Sewell Music

Introduction: Violinist Lydia Sewell, (B.M Azusa Pacific University, M.M Duquesne University) has over five years of teaching experience and is a Certified Suzuki Teacher. She performs both classical and non-classical violin repertoire and has played with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Pittsburgh Ballet, and Wheeling Symphony Orchestras. In addition, she has appeared with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra during their East Coast Tour, and performed with many indie bands in Los Angeles, including Sleeping at Last, and Sucré at MTV, and ABC Networks. Currently, Lydia serves as an Associate Member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. I strive to engage my students in the learning process catered to their personal goals, desires, and needs. My focus centers around developing musical skills which promote creativity while instilling a life long love of music. Through my instruction, students will learn how to critically listen to music, discover the relationship between violin playing and body awareness, and develop the technical and musical foundation needed to progress in their musical studies.
