Introduction: As a professional musician, I have played countless weddings. I have played the violin for 21 years, and have attended the Eastman School of Music, one of the most prestigious music conservatories in the United States. I am confident in saying that I have the musical skills necessary to make your special day one that you will cherish forever. In addition to being a professional musician, I am also a poet and songwriter. This background in wordsmithing allows me to create wedding services that are deeply meaningful as well as unique to the couple. I try to ensure that the ceremony resonates with who they are as individuals and as a couple. Weddings are special days for all involved. It is the beginning of the rest of the life for the couple, and it is always an honor and joy to be able to participate in such a momentous part of someone's life, whether it is performing the music or officiating the ceremony.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Violin lessons: $30 for half an hour, $50 for one hour Wedding music: $100 for the service Wedding Officiant: $125 for the service

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

For violin lessons, I offer the first lesson free as a chance for the student to get to know me and me to get to know the student. This is helpful in determining if I am a good fit for what you are looking for. Based on the first lesson, I will draw up a rough guide as to how I see things going from a repertoire and technical standpoint. For wedding officiant jobs, ideally, I like to meet the couple in person and sit down and chat for a while to get to know them. This allows me to craft a ceremony that resonates with who they are as individuals and as a couple. If meeting in person is hard to do, a phone call is the next best option. Finally, if it is very last minute, I provide a questionnaire via email that gives me the same information. I will email a draft of the ceremony for the client to read through and approve. For wedding music jobs, I like to talk to the client on the phone and run through the order of the ceremony. I'm very flexible when it comes to music selections. I'm happy to make suggestions if the client isn't sure of what they want, or take any and all suggestions from the client if they have a specific plan. After our conversation, I will email the client a set list that corresponds to each part of the ceremony.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have studied and played the violin for 21 years. I attended the prestigious Eastman School of Music where I studied with Lynn Blakeslee and New York University where I studied with Stephanie Chase. I studied violin and music education at both schools. I have played countless weddings as a violinist and am confident that I can do whatever you want to make your event special. I am a writer and poet as well, and my experience with wordsmithing makes me confident that I can craft a wedding service that honors and respects all involved. As a minister, I am ordained by the Universal Life Church, and can perform ceremonies in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
