FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates vary depending on several different variables. How far do I travel? Do I need my own sound equipment? If so, how much? Am I playing solo, duo, more? How long is the event? Etc. I believe top notch music deserves a fair rate but I'm also flexible. Money is secondary to musicianship.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know the client on a personal level to assess their preferences in music and performance. I want to know what they expect so I can exceed their expectations. The personal relationship also supports the desire to put all I am into a show and their desire to use me for this event and more in the future.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've studied music since middle school. I started on drums, then bass, then vocals and guitar. This well rounded education allows me to see the different parts of a song and to find the best way to perform it live. On top of my formal education, I have over a decade of performance experience in a vast array of scenarios (corporate events, weddings, house parties, bars/venues, military morale, benefits/fundraisers, national anthems, intimate serenades, proposals, festivals, etc). This versatility has allowed me to grow into a well rounded professional capable of handling any size crowd.
