FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Tree trimming is usually bid by the job, as they can vary widely. Trimming one tree can cost as little as $150 and run several thousand dollars for very large jobs. Sprucing up a yard with a new pallet of sod can cost about $250 and can go up from there. There are far too many variables to give a standard price. Bee removals usually start at $350 and can go up to $650 depending on the complexity of the job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, a quick phone call can determine if I am a good fit for a customer. I will be the first one to point the customer in the right direction if I am not 100% certain I can do them a fantastic job. I have been on the other side of that situation and can assure you that I don't want to be giving any contractor their on the job training. Rest assured, I don't expect any customer to pay a dime unless they are super thrilled with the outcome. Customers work way to hard for their money to spend it on substandard contractors.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing land clearing and tree removals for 19 years. Running a chainsaw and trimming trees is like breathing. I have been keeping bees for two years, and am still learning more about them every day. I have done seven cutouts since last summer, and they have all gone very well, with the homeowners all being happy with the final result. (Unfortunately, I wasn't a member of thumbtack and didn't keep any of their contact info.)
