FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I use $300 per truckload as a general rule of thumb, but depending on what we take and how long it takes to load it, the price could be lower. If I load my entire truck in 30 minutes, because the load is very easily accessible or very easy for whatever reason, the full truckload cost would be lower. Time is the biggest factor in my pricing. So on the other hand if it takes me 3 hours to load half of a truckload, the cost will be higher. All of my pricing is up front; I will never raise my price after the work is finished.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
More often than not, I can give an accurate quote based on the customers description of the job. Sometimes I will get to the job, and need to change the price because the description was not accurate or more items were added, but I will never start a job without establishing a price that is agreed upon. Most times the customers over estimate how much junk they have and I can actually fit what they thought was a full load into much less space, saving them money.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In the last 10 years before starting M&D Hauling I was the production manager for a world leader in the silicon and quartz manufacturing used for semiconductors. The semiconductor industry has some of the most stringent quality requirements in the world, so I have many years experience in quality control, attention to detail and countless hours of training in management and problem solving. I believe that my experience and training gives M&D Hauling the competitive edge over all of the other junk removal businesses out there.
