FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My initial consultation for a residential client is $75, no matter how long it takes. After that, it is $75 an hour for all my design services. I have lots of designer only discounts with many vendors I can extend to my clients as well.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There is usually an initial consultation in the homeowner's residence. This usually lasts about an hour. I like to sit down and get to know you a little before delving into the project. After this, we usually take a tour of the area needing designed and I will take note of everything that may need to be changed or done. We usually go over a budget and timeline. After this is completed, I will normally follow up with a summary of what our consultation included. I will then begin the design process with research, design boards, paint colors, fabrics, or any furniture selection that may be needed. I will submit digital boards to the customer for approval. We can then begin buying or scheduling a professional to paint/contruct/or remodel whatever is necessary. I will be there along the way for any additional questions or help needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Bachelor's in Interior Design in 2006 from Florida State University. I've been designing ever since. I've been to several furniture manufacturer schools, like Stickley in New York and Hickory Chair in North Carolina. I also attend continuing education seminars frequently to learn everything from the latest lighting trends to high end appliances to fabric/textiles and draperies.
